Don’t miss out on these cheap squads while building your first team in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
The cheap starting squads for FIFA 22 Ultimate Team guide series continue with Serie A. In this article, you’ll find two teams from the Italian Football League that are great for a cheap beginning.
Unlike the other prominent leagues, Serie A suffers when it comes to player variety. Creating different teams in this league is quite hard, especially with a low budget. Even though you should make some adjustments on certain positions in the squad, these two teams will be enough to spend the first days of FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
FIFA 22 Serie A Team 1
- Thomas Strakosha, GK – SS Lazio
- Matthijs De Ligt, CB – Piemonte Calcio
- Stefan De Vrij, CB – Inter
- Alex Sandro, LB – Piemonte Calcio
- Giovanni Di Lorenzo, RB – Napoli
- Hirving Lozano, RW – Napoli
- Gerard Deulofeu, LM – Udinese
- Jordan Veretout, CDM – Roma FC
- Adrien Rabiot, CM – Piemonte Calcio
- Dries Mertens, CF – Napoli
- Luis Muriel, ST – Atalanta BC
The formation will be 4-2-3-1 with two defensive central-midfielders. Rabiot and Veretout will protect the center of the pitch and create the connection between defense and attack. Despite having enough attributes to play both sides of the game, their work rates are a little bit of a problem.
We have two high-paced wingers in the team. They will be the first names to carry the ball and threaten opponents’ goal posts. Deulofeu and Lozano have 4-star skills which help them surpass their rivals easily. These players’ shooting attributes are not that great, so I don’t recommend finishing the position with them.
Although Muriel looks like the only striker in the formation, Mertens will support him in the attacking central-midfielder position. Due to physical insufficiency, using Mertens in this role instead of as a striker will be more beneficial for us. Muriel is one of the best options in Serie A for this value and you won’t regret picking him.
Defenders are solid, but you should upgrade them as soon as you get enough money. They have great defensive stats, but their low paces will make them unusable over time. There aren’t many options in this league for full-backs, but Alex Sandro and Di Lorenzo are perfect choices in this case.
FIFA 22 Serie A Team 2
- Salvatore Sirigu, GK – Genoa
- Denzel Dumfries, RB – Inter
- Kostas Manolas, CB – Napoli
- Luiz Felipe, CB – SS Lazio
- Leonardo Spinazzola, LB – Roma FC
- Matteo Politano, RM – Napoli
- Lorenzo Pellegrini, CM – Roma FC
- Nicolo Barella, CM – Inter
- Ante Rebic, LM – Milan
- Lautaro Martinez, ST – Inter
- Victor Osimhen, Napoli
This squad is more expensive than the previous one as it features better players. The formation will be classic 4-4-2 with fast wingers and strikers. Even though it’s your decision after all, I’d recommend you create a team from a different league if you have around 50K. Player pool in Serie A is tight, therefore upgrading is a hard task.
FIFA 22 early access started on September 22 with a 10-hour trial. The full game will be available for Ultimate Edition owners on September 27 and on October 1 for all owners.
