If you’re planning to play FIFA 22, now is a great time to think about your first squad. Here are our predictions for the best right-backs in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team.
Starting your Ultimate Team season journey with a proper lineup is crucial in FIFA. It provides a lot of advantages that allow you to start climbing the leaderboard while other players figure out who to choose for their team. Finding outstanding right-backs was hard in FIFA 21 since there were few options, but I think the number of usable players will increase in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. The following ones should be your go-to players in the beginning:
Nélson Semedo – Wolves
Semedo is one of the cheapest and greatest options you can find in the market. The Portuguese player is able to catch opponents’ fast left-wingers with his pace, making him good on the attack as well. Even though Semedo’s defensive ratings are lower than his fellows’, this deficiency should not be enough to affect his standings in the game.
Ricardo Pereira – Leicester City
Portugal is a real supplier of right-backs. Ricardo Pereira is another choice in the Premier League for your squad. I believe he will be cheaper than Semedo since his speed isn’t as high as the Wolves’ player; that said, Pereira is better when it comes to defense.
Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Manchester United
After joining Manchester United in 2019, Wan-Bissaka became a decent player in the right-back position with the upgrade he received. Last year, he easily found a spot in many teams and will be stronger in FIFA 22 Ultimate Team. With the medium/high work rate alongside great attributes in attack and defense, Aaron Wan-Bissaka is worth picking up.
Juan Cuadrado – Juventus
Cuadrado is among the fewest options in Italy. If you’re looking to create a team in this region, you don’t have many choices for the right-back. Defensively and physically, Cuadrado is weak, but his attacking strength makes up for the player’s weakness.
Kyle Walker – Manchester City
Not mentioning the best right-back in the game would be a shame. Walker was the most popular player in his position in FIFA 21 and he will probably protect the title in FIFA 22. The veteran player is a full-pack and he will be one of the best right-backs for your beginning team. The English player was also able to play as centre-backs in FIFA 21, thanks to his physique.
Nordi Mukiéle – RB Leipzig
With his nationality and the league he plays in, Mukiele is easy to put into any team. That being said, the French player isn’t among the tier 1 players at right-back. When you have enough coins in your pocket, Mukiele isn’t the right target. However, until you have more to spend, he offers enough for your starting team.
Other right-backs to buy
- Alessandro Florenzi – A.S. Roma
- Youcef Atal – OGC Nice
- Joakim Maehle – Atalanta BC
- Kevin Mbabu – VfL Wolfsburg
- Bruno Peres – Trabzonspor
- Hector Bellerin – Arsenal
- James Tavernier – Rangers F.C.
- Santiago Arias – Granada CF
FIFA 22 Ultimate Team season will start on September 27 for Ultimate Edition owners. If you have the regular version, the game will open for you on October 1st.
