Could you describe the events leading up to your departure from Optimal Ambition?
Leading up to my departure from Optimal Ambition, nothing really changed in our relationship. They always fully supported me as they did throughout my entire stay with them.
In the previous interview with Gamelevate you mentioned that Optimal Ambition has always treated me with the utmost respect and supported me as a player, which is why I really appreciate them and consider them as my second family. Did something change towards the end of your partnership?
As I said previously, nothing really changed in our relationship. OA was still my home, and I am eternally grateful for them. It was a simple decision and perhaps even best to part ways and look for new opportunities.
I understand it is still way too early but do you have any teams in mind where you would like to transfer?
I have a few teams in mind, but all I want is to be surrounded by great people who want what I want, to be at the top.
Do you think Optimal Ambition helped you grow into the streamer and player you are today?
Optimal Ambition definitely helped me become the streamer and player I am today. With their help, I was able to move out to 0 ping, buy a new pc, and take care of my family. They were the only org to take a chance on me, and I will always thank them for the support they gave me.
How long has this move been planned for? Or was it a result of an instantaneous decision?
It was as simple as my contract expired and both parties decided to part ways. So really, the decision had been made quite a while ago.

How do you feel about Whofishy’s departure from Optimal Ambition?
Whofishy was an original member of Optimal Ambition and spent a year with the organization. He was a tremendous asset and a valuable member of our roster. As is the case in esports and traditional sports, contracts are established for a set period and expire. We wish him the absolute best.
Is there any potential player that can replace him in your competitive Fortnite roster?
We fully anticipate continuing to maintain our presence in competitive Fortnite. OA intends to maintain a roster with both veteran and up-and-coming players.
Do you think Optimal Ambition will encounter an upset as a result of this move?
OA has solidified itself as a community-first organization. We provide value to the community by providing in-game community opportunities, accessibility to our members, and external educational resources to our supporters. Roster changes are inevitable and that will never upset our initiative of working towards making this industry a more positive experience for everyone.
Statements from both parties show that the decision wasn’t a result of a disagreement, rather Whofishy’s contract with Optimal Ambition was reaching its term and he had decided that departing the organization would be a good move for his career since it would open him to new opportunities. We at Gamelevate wish Whofishy all the best for his future endeavors.
