North American esports organization Evil Geniuses has added a new permanent roster member to its Valorant squad: Boostio.
Evil Geniuses’ latest Valorant player
After being trialed by Evil Geniuses since August, Kelden “Boostio” Pupello was finally made an official roster member by the NA esports giants. The first time Boostio competed for EG was in the Nerd Street Gamers Summer Championship.
The team made a solid run through the group stages but were eventually knocked out by the eventual champs, Cloud 9, in the semi-finals. Former Beast Coast player and Version1 stand-in Jamal “jammyz” Bangash has also been on trial for EG and is expected to take the fifth spot on the roster should any of EG’s current roster members jump ship.
Meet Boostio
Before joining EG on trial, Boostio was trying out for Team Basilisk for the whole month of July. He’s also been part of the Foxy, EUnited, and Spacestation Gaming Valorant rosters. He was first brought into EG as a stand-in when Christine “potter” Chi moved on to the Head Coach role.
Since joining the squad, Boostio has been filling the main duelist role. Primarily on Jett, Boostio has an impressive 238 ACS with a crisp 26% headshot accuracy. He was most impressive in the NSG Summer Championship while playing against Built By Gamers, where he put up an astounding 42/26/3 KDA while on Jett.
The Evil Geniuses Valorant roster is currently as follows:
- Kelden “Boostio” Pupello
- Daniel “roca” Gustaferri
- Brandon “BRANTED” Ballard
- Mike “pho” Panza
- Nolan “Temperature” Pepper
- Jamal “jammyz” Bangash (trial)
- Christine “potter” Chi (Head coach)
- Jimmy “LiN” Lin (Assistant coach)
