The latest Fortnite Champion Series (FNCS) is already underway. Last season saw seven winners, all of whom claimed the Axe of Champions and a piece of $3 000 000. The current season of FNCS too offers the same incentive to thousands of teams looking to prove themselves on the main stage.
FNCS Season 6 format
Epic Games has decided to keep trios as the standard format for the entire year of 2021. Season 6 of the FNCS will feature three weekly qualifiers. These qualifiers will be followed by a round of Semi-Finals and only 33 teams from the Semi-Finals will head onto the Grand Finals where they will compete in fierce, nail-biting matches to win a portion of the massive prize pool. It is also worth mentioning that the Reboot Round is returning, but with a revamped format. Here is a more detailed version of each round and what it entails:
FNCS Season 6 Qualifiers
- Only the top 3 teams in each qualifier will advance directly to the Grand Finals
- The following 99 teams based on Series Points will split into three Semi-Final Heats
FNCS Season 6 Semi-Finals
- Three Heats each with 33 teams with six matches
- Only the top six trios from each Heat move into the Grand Finals, while the teams who finish between 7th and 17th will compete in the Reboot Round
FNCS Season 6 Reboot Round
- Thirty-three teams will compete in three matches, with only the game-winning team moving to the Grand Finals.
FNCS Season 6 Grand Finals
- Thirty-three teams with twelve matches span over two days
- Only the highest point-earning team claims first place and the Axe of Champions while the top three Grand Finalists secure themselves a spot in FNCS Season 7 Finals
