Bandai Namco and FromSoftware have rolled out Elden Ring Nightreign patch notes for Version 1.02.1. This update introduces balance changes to skills and addresses several critical bugs across all platforms.
Balance Adjustments
- Improved performance of the Storm Ruler skill.
- Reduced charge time for the storm effect.
- Increased the speed of the unleashed blade.
- Boosted attack power when used without charging.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where using dropped items could lock actions except movement and camera control.
- Corrected a problem where some guard effects would not activate.
- Fixed target lock releasing on parasitic eggs or insects when Duchess’s Ultimate Art Finale was active.
- Addressed stagger damage caused by certain attacks from Everdark Sovereign Maris, Fathom of Night.
- Fixed relic effect “[Executor] While Character Skill is active, cursed sword restores HP” not triggering.
- Corrected an exploit that allowed Storm Ruler to be used without consuming FP.
- Adjusted damage from the passive effect Frostbite Produces a Mist of Frost, which was higher than intended.
- Fixed an issue where Flasks would not heal the player if relics with “Flask Also Heals Allies” were equipped.
- Identified an additional bug affecting Gradual Restoration by Flask passive. A future update will resolve this.
- Fixed mismatched display values for “Extended Spell Duration.”
- Corrected visual effects from some Passive Effects.
- Fixed certain attacks from Caligo, Miasma of Night missing players.
- Improved framerate stability in battles against Caligo and Maris under specific conditions.
- Fixed relic sorting errors in the Relic Rites menu.
- Corrected issues with equipping relics when using filters.
- Fixed occasional audio playback errors.
- Addressed performance drops during repeated Sorcery or Incantation use.
- Improved network stability when activating specific passive effects or casting repeatedly.
- Corrected text errors in Brazilian Portuguese.
PlayStation 5 Exclusive Fix
- Fixed a major issue where the HUD and UI could disappear, causing the game to terminate unexpectedly.

Players on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S should log in to download the Regulation files. If the version number is not 1.02.1, select LOGIN from the title screen to apply the latest update.
Online play requires installing this patch. Restart the game after downloading to ensure the update is active.
