The last World Champions, DRX, have announced their roster for LCK 2023. Rascal, Croco, FATE, deokdam, and BeryL have joined the team.
DRX completed a miracle run last year and upset some of the biggest teams in the world. First, they barely made it to the Worlds stage. Secondly, they surprised everyone by winning the Worlds 2022 trophy. However, almost all of the players joined different teams for the upcoming season after internal problem rumors were being tossed around on social media. DRX finally announced their new roster for LCK 2023 featuring BeryL, Rascal, Croco, FATE, and deokdam.
DRX LCK 2023 Roster
- Kim “Rascal” Kwang-hee
- Kim “Croco” Dong-beom
- Yoo “FATE” Su-hyeok
- Seo “deokdam” Dae-gil
- Cho “BeryL” Geon-hee
Rascal is the new top laner of DRX, filling the shoes of the Worlds 2022 Finals MVP, Kingen. Kingen recently joined Hanwha Life Esports. Rascal played for DRX in the past but he then competed for Gen.G and KT Rolster before rejoining the team. Croco will fill Pyosik’s spot as the new jungler of the team. He recently parted ways with Liiv Sandbox. FATE has joined from Kwangdong Freecs for the mid laner role. The South Koren player had also played for Afreeca Freecs and Liiv Sandbox in the past.
deokdam and BeryL are the new bot lane duo for DRX. deokdam played for DWG KIA last season and before that, he had great performances at Nongshim RedForce. BeryL is the only member to stay from the world champion roster. Last year, Deft was his ADC but now the roster has changed. Before last year, BeryL had also won a Worlds trophy with DWG KIA and he is one of the most experienced players in the region.
After their fairytale run, it looks like DRX have formed a modest compared to last year. However, this team has proved its worth for sure.
