Driftguard is the latest bit of free software here to fix that stick’s drift!
VestraCode’s latest software aims to help gamers and builders with that dreadful issue.
But what is this application, how do I use it and is it a permanent fix?
Driftguard
Firstly, Driftguard is completely free and open via the app or browser website. However, what makes this special over say your consoles inbuilt calibration tools is that it saves to the controller itself!
It writes calibration directly to controller memory for a permanent fix. This is great for after stick drift or analogy stick replacement. Also, it supports a wide range of 1st party controllers right now with more being worked on.

Currently it helps PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo 1st party calibration with some third party added in.
Although one thing to note is that it cannot fix sever cases of stick drift. Because that issue I am afraid is down to wear and tear of a parameter. An example would be my slight drifty PS5 controller and the bugged one.

A slight say %10 drift can be fixed with this handy tool. However, if your stick is saying crashing to the left when you are not even touching it then that’s too far. Although it cannot fix those cases it can help with minor annoying ones.
Driftguard is morose useful for those who have just fixed a controller themselves. Or those who catch onto drift very quickly. Unfortunately, in my case I am going to have to still whip out the soldering iron! But its handy having a tool like this around once I get round to it!
But for those who have use for it with the parameters in mind lets go through the process of calibration.
Also make sure you are running Chromium browser like Chrome, Edge or Opera as it does not work on others.

Firstly, plug in you Xbox, Sony or Switch controller via a lead to the PC. Once plugged into Driftguard it should detect what you are using.

You may have to give permission for the browser to access it so do that. Secondly, we have the choice of what type of calibration manual or auto. If you know what you are doing go for manual if not let the application run automatically.

Because if you picked auto the drift will be detected automatically and the program will create a neutral zone accordingly. But make sure to choose your preferred style of factor, fps or fighter-based zones.

Each tier ranges of how tight you want the dead-zone to be. Once it doses the first pass at neutral rotate both sticks around in one direction. Here it will detect faults in the zoning. Lastly once done with that the program will auto detect once more to adjust the shape accordingly to said faults.
But once you make it to the final stage of Driftguard please give your calibrated sticks a go around. If you are not happy you can just reset the calibrations again until it finally clicks.
If you click save it will save to the board of the controller itself! Meaning now your calibrated sticks will carry over to every console and PC.
