Do CS:GO Rosters Make Transfers Too Quickly?

In the world of CS:GO, the player break is usually seen as an excuse for organizations to pull the trigger on their current lineups and make some sweeping changes. The break in competitive action allows for teams to bed in and get used to one another in and out of the server, without paying for this rustiness in the competitive circuit. However, Russell ‘Twistzz’ van Dulken has recently broken headlines by proclaiming that these orgs need to show their sides more patience. What Twistzz Said 

Despite our earlier point that most orgs see the player break as an opportunity to hit the refresh button, and embark on a new direction with some added time to gel, Twistzz actually believes these reshuffles hinder the progression a team makes. 

“I kinda dislike seeing so many changes every break. It feels like teams restart their progression. They don’t try to find the full potential of the lineup.”

Given how Twistzz is currently playing with a 1.16 rating and his FaZe Clan side have won IEM Katowice, IEM Cologne, ESL Pro League, and the PGL Antwerp Major this year, it should come as no surprise that neither he nor any member of the team has moved during this latest player break.

Who Have Made Changes? 

So whilst FaZe are still very much in dreamland, which sides have made the changes that have dominated the player break? 

G2’s exciting lineup failed to deliver on the hype, but ENCE, Team Vitality, and Heroic have all grabbed headlines by branching out with new lineups gearing up for the new season. Interestingly enough, all of these teams (bar Heroic) have continued going down the path of international rosters in the same vein as FaZe have pioneered over the years. 

“Only time will tell about which organization made the best change. Hopefully, all these rosters, give them some time.”
