Diablo 4 Season 14: Season of Death Awakening introduces a major overhaul to the game’s endgame gearing system. One of the biggest changes is how Mythic Uniques now work.
Instead of being a separate item rarity, Mythic is now a modifiable Item Quality, allowing players to upgrade eligible Unique items into Mythic Uniques. The new system opens up significantly more build customization while giving players additional ways to obtain powerful endgame gear.

How to convert a Unique into a Mythic Unique
The primary method for crafting Mythic Uniques is through the Horadric Cube.
To upgrade a Unique item, you’ll need:
- One Unique item with 850+ Item Power
- Five Pandemonium Fragments
Once you’ve gathered the required materials, place the Unique item into the Horadric Cube and select the Upgrade to Mythic option.
Every crafted Mythic Unique is automatically:
- Ancestral quality
- Enhanced with a 30% increase to its Unique Power
How to get Pandemonium Fragments
Pandemonium Fragments are a new crafting material introduced in Season 14.
You can earn them from:
- Season Reputation rewards
- Resplendent Caches
- Defeating the Seasonal Lair Boss
These materials are required for every Mythic upgrade through the Horadric Cube.
Important crafting rules
There are a few limitations to keep in mind when crafting Mythic Uniques.
Upgrading a Unique item does not guarantee you’ll receive the same Mythic version of that item. Instead, the Horadric Cube returns a random Mythic Unique that matches the same equipment slot and can be used by your class.
For example, upgrading a Unique helmet will reward a random Mythic helmet that your class can equip.
Crafted Mythic Uniques also have an equipment restriction. You can only equip one crafted Mythic Unique at a time. However, Mythic Uniques obtained as item drops are not affected by this limitation, allowing multiple dropped Mythics to be equipped simultaneously.
How to craft Mythic Uniques at the Jeweler
Season 14 also adds an alternative crafting method through the Jeweler.
To craft a Mythic Unique, you’ll need:
- 3 Resplendent Sparks
- 18 specific Runes
This method gives players another path toward obtaining powerful endgame gear without relying entirely on the Horadric Cube.
How to get Resplendent Sparks
Resplendent Sparks can be earned through several endgame activities, including:
- Completing the Season Journey
- Defeating Torment Bosses
- Defeating Echo of Lilith
- Salvaging previously acquired Mythic Uniques
Season Journey rewards are expected to be the most reliable way for most players to obtain their first Resplendent Sparks.
When can you craft Mythic Uniques?
Mythic Unique crafting becomes available once your character reaches Level 70 and has unlocked Torment difficulty.
From that point onward, you’ll be able to use either the Horadric Cube or the Jeweler to begin upgrading and crafting Mythic-quality gear for your endgame builds.
