Diablo 4 Will Not be Available on Xbox Game Pass
The potential acquisition of Activision by Xbox has raised numerous questions about the game’s availability on Xbox Game Pass. Consequently, fans eagerly anticipated clarification on this issue.
Regrettably, Rod Ferguson, GM of the series, has confirmed through Twitter that Diablo 4 will not be available on Xbox Game Pass at its release. He stated that the team currently has “no plans” to join the service.
This decision is understandable, particularly given the ongoing scrutiny of the Activision Blizzard deal by international regulatory agencies. The outcome of this deal remains uncertain and considering Activision’s history with Game Pass, it is not surprising that Diablo 4 will not be part of the service initially.
Nevertheless, Phil Spencer, Head of Xbox, has expressed intentions to include titles like Diablo in the Xbox Game Pass once the deal is finalized, leaving open the possibility for Diablo 4’s future inclusion.
For the time being, however, Blizzard will not be bringing its latest Diablo installment to the platform.
