The famous Call of Duty player Anthony “Methodz” Zinni has announced his retirement from the professional CoD scene.
Methodz is one of the most experienced and known players in the professional Call of Duty world. Since the start of the 2023 season, he had been playing for Boston Breach in the Call of Duty League.
After today’s results, Boston Breach got eliminated from the CDL Major 2 Championship. After the game, Methodz picked up the mic and announced that he had retired from the professional CoD scene to pursue a content creator career.
CoD career of Methodz
His professional gaming career began back in 2012. Firstly he played for SoaR Gaming, and after leaving the team, he had two stops, FaZe Clan and Dare Rising.
Some of the other mentionable teams he played for are Team Envy, Denial Esports, Counter Logic Gaming, Echo Fox, OpTic Gaming, and G2 Esports. With the formation of the Call of Duty League, he signed a contract with Toronto Ultra and stayed with them for two years. During his time with Ultra, Methodz got loaned to WestR, Fantas,c Four, and uT Crew.

He left the Canadian team to join Boston Breach at the beginning of the season. The first Major didn’t go as planned, as the team placed 13-16. However, Boston Breach improved their performance in the Major 2 Championship and seeded 5-6th. At the end of the match, Methodz announced his retirement.

From now on, we will see him on social media platforms more often. However, he has a very important experience and knowledge of the game. We might also see him coaching a team in the future.
