Cloud9 completed the upper bracket run as they swept 100 Thieves 3-0 during the LCS Championship at the United Center in Chicago. C9 won their fifth LCS title, earning the last in Spring 2021.
Cloud9 entered the LCS Summer Playoffs as the fifth seed after a rocky Spring Split saw the return of Nicolaj “Jensen” Jensen to the Mid Lane and a role swap of Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami from mid lane back to top lane and Jesper “Zven” Svenningsen from AD Carry to Support.

After visa issues plagued the team in the beginning of Summer, the squad ended summer with a 10-8 record. From there, the organization ran through the Upper Bracket with a 3-2 victory versus CLG and then dominating both Evil Geniuses and 100 Thieves 3-1.
