Bungie has officially revealed that Marathon, its upcoming survival extraction shooter, will launch on March 5, 2026, arriving on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S with full cross-play and cross-save support.
The studio, best known for Halo and Destiny, also unveiled a new gameplay trailer, detailed pre-order bonuses, and a stacked English-language voice cast as anticipation builds for its return to the Marathon universe.
A Dangerous Return to Tau Ceti IV
In Marathon, players step into the role of bio-cybernetic mercenaries known as Runners, scavenging the remains of the lost colony on Tau Ceti IV. The planet is anything but forgiving, with hostile security forces, rival Runners, and lethal environmental threats all competing to end each run prematurely.
The newly released gameplay trailer highlights the title’s tense extraction-focused design, emphasizing high-risk encounters, atmospheric worldbuilding, and the constant push-and-pull between survival and greed that defines the genre.
Star-Studded English Voice Cast Revealed
Bungie also confirmed an extensive English-language voice cast, featuring talent from across film, television, and games. The cast includes:
Roger Clark, Neil Newbon, Ben Starr, Erica Lindbeck, Dave Fennoy, Elias Toufexis, Jennifer English, Fred Tatasciore, Jason Spisak, Nika Futterman, Darin De Paul, Oliver Vaquer, Erin Yvette, Ariana Nicole George, Emily O’Brien, Brent Mukai, Scott Whyte, Tracy Wiles, JB Tadena, Piotr Michael, and many more.
Bungie noted that Marathon will feature fully localized dialogue across all supported languages, with additional voice casts to be revealed at a later date. The voice roster will also expand over time as the world of Marathon continues to evolve.
