Brag House, in partnership with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, is hosting the Black & Positively Golden Gamers HBCU Fortnite tournament.
There are 107 colleges in the United States that are identified by the US Department of Education as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Brag House is an esports platform dedicated to events for the casual college gamer. With this tournament. the company is partnering with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola for HBCU College student Fortnite gamers across the country.
By working with HBCUs and our amazing partners, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, we’re giving HBCU students who love gaming a chance they never imagined they’d get.

This Free to Participate HBCU Fortnite Tournament will take place online and features a total of $15,000 in prize funds. The online format allows college students to compete from the comfort of their homes. Basically, students can play in their dorms, fraternity houses, or sorority houses.
THE THREE FINALISTS OF THE HBCU FORTNITE TOURNAMENT GRAND FINALE WILL EACH WIN:
- $15,000 TMCF Scholarship
- Black & Positively Golden Gamers 2022 Trophy
- Spot on the McDonald’s Fortnite Esports League for 2023
- Transportation to and from the Celebration Bowl at HBCU Atlanta on 12.17

Format
Up to 100 different HBCU student gamers will play in each of the 4 qualifiers on a first come, first served basis (for a total of up to 400 students) in the Fortnite solo game mode. Students enter private battle royale lobbies created by Brag House. Only gamers with a private invitation are allowed into the HBCU Fortnite Tournament matches.
The same students of a particular qualifier will compete in all 5 matches of that qualifier. Consequently, the top 25 student gamers on the aggregated scoreboard of each qualifier day will advance to the Grand Finale.
