Brag House, in partnership with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, is hosting the Black & Positively Golden Gamers HBCU Fortnite tournament.

There are 107 colleges in the United States that are identified by the US Department of Education as Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).  Brag House is an esports platform dedicated to events for the casual college gamer. With this tournament. the company is partnering with McDonald’s and Coca-Cola for HBCU College student Fortnite gamers across the country.

By working with HBCUs and our amazing partners, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, we’re giving HBCU students who love gaming a chance they never imagined they’d get.

Lavell Juan, Co-Founder and CEO of Brag House

This Free to Participate HBCU Fortnite Tournament will take place online and features a total of $15,000 in prize funds. The online format allows college students to compete from the comfort of their homes. Basically, students can play in their dorms, fraternity houses, or sorority houses.

THE THREE FINALISTS OF THE HBCU FORTNITE TOURNAMENT GRAND FINALE WILL EACH WIN:

  • $15,000 TMCF Scholarship
  • Black & Positively Golden Gamers 2022 Trophy
  • Spot on the McDonald’s Fortnite Esports League for 2023
  • Transportation to and from the Celebration Bowl at HBCU Atlanta on 12.17

Lavell Juan, Co-Founder and CEO of Brag House, stated: “It makes me incredibly proud to be to offer HBCU students the opportunity to earn scholarships. As a former college athlete and a CEO of color, these types of opportunities have been open to a small number of students each year. By working with HBCUs and our amazing partners, McDonald’s and Coca-Cola, we’re giving HBCU students who love gaming a chance they never imagined they’d get.”

Format

Up to 100 different HBCU student gamers will play in each of the 4 qualifiers on a first come, first served basis (for a total of up to 400 students) in the Fortnite solo game mode.
