The Black Ops 7 Season 4 Reloaded update delivers another major round of weapon balancing, with several popular firearms receiving significant adjustments. While the Maddox RFB and X9 Maverick have been strengthened, top-tier weapons like the Voyak KT-3, Kogot-7, and Warden 308 have all been toned down.
Beyond weapon tuning, the mid-season patch also introduces numerous bug fixes and gameplay improvements across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame.
Maddox RFB and X9 Maverick Receive Major Buffs
One of the biggest winners in Season 4 Reloaded is the Maddox RFB. Previous recoil and damage range reductions have been rolled back, allowing the assault rifle to compete once again after slipping out of the meta.
The X9 Maverick also benefits from several upgrades, including improved effective range and a faster burst-fire cooldown. These changes aim to make the weapon more reliable without returning it to its previously dominant state.
Additional weapon buffs include:
- AK-27: New maximum damage profile rewards accurate close-range headshots.
- MXR-17 (ANVL Conversion): Improved recoil control and stronger sustained fire rate.
- REV-46: Increased damage range and improved long-range headshot effectiveness.
- VST: Reduced recoil for smoother handling.
- XM325: Better recoil control for increased consistency.
- XR-3 Ion and several LMG attachments: Improved ADS spread.
- Grimhawk Special Weapon: Higher damage output.
- LTI Stentorian Brake: Vertical recoil penalty removed alongside a slight increase to fire rate.
Voyak KT-3, Kogot-7, and Warden 308 Nerfed
Several of the game’s strongest weapons have received balance adjustments in Season 4 Reloaded.
The Voyak KT-3 sees reductions to both its maximum damage range and recoil performance, limiting its effectiveness at medium distances after dominating multiple seasons.
The Kogot-7 has also been adjusted to reduce its long-range killing potential. Lower damage values and revised headshot multipliers mean players will now need additional shots to eliminate targets at range.
Meanwhile, the Warden 308 has been rebalanced to reduce its one-shot capabilities. Upper torso eliminations are less forgiving, while a new mid-damage range decreases the effectiveness of neck shots during longer engagements.
Multiplayer Gameplay Fixes
Season 4 Reloaded also addresses several gameplay issues in Multiplayer.
The Lockshot crosshair will no longer disappear after briefly losing sight of a marked enemy while aiming down sights. In addition, Iron Rain now correctly deals its intended amount of damage against the Ion Core scorestreak.
These fixes improve gameplay consistency without introducing major mechanical changes.
Zombies Receives Stability and Gameplay Improvements
Zombies players can expect numerous bug fixes and performance improvements across multiple maps, including:
- Totenreich
- Paradox Junction
- Astra Malorum
- Ashes of the Damned
The update also resolves issues affecting Rogue Run, Cursed, Directed, and Survival modes, while addressing problems involving GobbleGums, the Pack-a-Punched KRS 7.62, audio glitches, and overall game stability.
Endgame Updates
Endgame mode receives its own collection of fixes, including improvements to Zursa enemy behavior and pathfinding.
The update also resolves ammunition issues affecting Exotic weapons when entering Glitch Fractures, alongside various UI enhancements and additional stability fixes.
Final Thoughts
Season 4 Reloaded focuses on refreshing the weapon meta by strengthening underused firearms while dialing back several dominant choices. Combined with a wide range of gameplay improvements across Multiplayer, Zombies, and Endgame, the update aims to deliver a more balanced experience heading into the second half of the season.
