BIG (Berlin International Gaming), a German esports organization, has announced its partnership with the cryptocurrency platform Coinbase for its CS:GO, team.
Berlin International Gaming is a premier, world-class esport organization founded and based in Berlin, Germany, in January 2017. Their professional teams and players compete in the most prestigious leagues worldwide. Since its inception, BIG has added several prominent organizations to its partnership portfolios, such as Corsair, Skinbaron, and Omen.
The partnership between BIG and Coinbase extends BIG’s ongoing Coinbase sponsorship, which they first signed in 2021.
Coinbase replaces Betway at the center of BIG’s CS:GO team jersey. The partnership package acquired by Coinbase includes a variety of activations such as community events, tournaments, and fan experiences.
“The financial scope of the partnership demonstrates that the acquisition of the BLAST Premier and ESL Pro League Partner slots in 2021 proved to be the best decision we could have made.”
BIG’s CEO, Daniel Finkler.
“Together with Coinbase, we will compete in the largest and most prestigious esports competitions globally,” commented BIG’s CEO, Daniel Finkler.
While the financial details have not been made public, BIG’s official announcement claims that the partnership between Coinbase and BIG is a ‘multi-million dollar deal.’
Crypto company and esports organization partnerships aren’t new, and more organizations are being sponsored with significant investments. For BIG and Coinbase, this partnership opens the doors for new opportunities and activations.
