Mobile games are becoming more interesting and exciting every year. Long gone are the days of mobile titles being gimmicky thumb-scrollers – many of the top-rated games on a gamer’s phone are comparable to the sorts of games found on next-gen consoles. Join us at Gamelevate as we run you through the best upcoming mobile games in 2023.
Zenless Zone Zero
Let’s start with one of the most anticipated games of the year. Zenless Zone Zero has been built by the same developers as Genshin Impact. Using their experience, they want to give us a new experience, moving the action from the fantasy Middle Ages to a futuristic post-apocalyptic city.
The concept of the game will most likely be almost the same as in Genshin Impact. But miHoYo will obviously add new interesting features and modify familiar mechanics. So, fingers crossed for something fresh, exciting and memorable then!
UFC 5
Mixed martial arts have always garnered the attention of gamers. For iGaming enthusiasts, there has been a massive interest in UFC betting online, where users place player prop bets. However, with the betting action, there’s always the risk of losing the money you bet, so it’s important to exercise caution with your entertainment budget. Given that, for those who prefer to follow sports as a form of competitive gaming, UFC 5 was designed to be a PC game by EA. Still, there are rumors that it will also be available on smartphones, and its release date is scheduled for 2023.
Dragonheir: Silent Gods
Dragonheir is a tactical role-playing game in which any action is determined by rolling twenty-sided dice – just like in a board game. Whether you make a plot choice or prepare to cast a spell in combat, the outcome will depend on luck. However, your luck can be increased by upgrading the characters and equipping them with good items and weapons.
The game will take place in the fantasy-medieval world of Arkendia. But, the game’s plot does not pretend to be original. The protagonist, waking up with amnesia (classic) will try to save the world from dark evil, and the characters during the journey will try to help him.
Beautiful three-dimensional graphics, a large number of bosses, and non-linearity in some missions are all amongst the game’s biggest highlights. The developers also promised to release seasonal updates to keep the audience interested. With proper development, this project clearly claims to be one of the best mobile games of 2023.
KartRider: Drift
Nintendo fans have always had a blast playing Mario Kart. And Nexon look set to grab a piece of the pie with the release of arcade racing on futuristic karts, which, although reminiscent of the party classic product from Nintendo, differs in its setting and the appearance of the characters.
The game has two game modes but follows the same sort of formula as Mario Kart. Players must drive and drift at speed and collect items, taking part in random events. Released on PC and mobile devices, it’s interesting that this Nexon has made the cross-platform jump. It will be possible to play from any platform on single servers, which will significantly increase its active player count.

Marvel World of Heroes
This is an augmented reality adventure game. Reincarnating as famous heroes, you will protect your areas, where you spend most of your real life, from various intrusions.
Interesting events will regularly occur in the game, to which you will need to react, preferably with friends. You can customize your avatar in detail, upgrade your abilities or choose a ready-made superhero. The developers also promised to add the possibility of travelling the multiverse to get acquainted with alternative characters as part of story missions.
A trial run and beta tests will take place in the near future. If all goes according to plan (and we really hope it does), Marvel World of Heroes is sure to be one of the best mobile games of 2023.
Ashfall
Ashfall is a post-apocalyptic shooter being developed by Legendary Star. In the game, we will be transported to a gloomy future, where the apocalypse has occurred, caused by a nuclear war launched by artificial intelligence.
We will come out of hiding and roam the barren deserts and abandoned cities, exploring the last settlements with survivors. In the atmosphere, inspired by oriental culture, we will meet NPCs, complete missions, fight dangerous enemies and do the usual things for an MMORPG.
It is also worth noting that this is not just an MMORPG. There will be shooter elements in the game, utilising firearms, crafting guns and more.
Raven: Arang
Netmarble is also preparing a cross-platform adventure MMO game with role-playing elements. In the game, players will explore a huge world consisting of snow-covered rocks, hellish wastelands, and terrible swamps.
Starting the adventure as simple warriors, players will have the chance to turn into their own guardians of the galaxy. Nightmare-inducing bosses and huge-scale PVP battlegrounds are set to push the capabilities of mobile gaming to their absolute limits.
Sadly, we know next to nothing about when this title is actually set to launch. It is scheduled for 2023, we know that much. But, most likely, the game will first be released in Korea, as is typical for local publishers. And only then we will see it in Europe, North America and the wider Western world.
