Picking The Best Ahead Of 2023
The 2022 CS:GO season was super exciting! In the early part of the season, FaZe Clan were on top of the world and looked unbeatable, even though Natus Vincere were trying their best to topple them.
However, as the season progressed, some new teams emerged from the shadows and started winning big tournaments. To ensure you know which CS:GO teams to keep an eye on in 2023, we have ranked the top 5 squads. You can stream and bet on all these teams’ matches at https://ggbet/en-ca/counter-strike!
1. FaZe Clan
FaZe Clan had an incredibly dominant 2022 CS:GO season. The American team won a number of massive tournaments, including the Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Katowice for $400,000, the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 for $500,000, and the Intel Extreme Masters XVII – Cologne for $500,000. FaZe Clan had almost $2 million in earnings in 2022 alone!
All of FaZe Clan’s big tournament wins came in the first half of the CS:GO season. As the season progressed, they struggled a bit. They had a poor performance at the Rio Major. However, they did manage to make it to the semi-finals of the Blast World Final in December. It will be interesting to see if they can recapture their early 2022 season form in 2023 or if other teams will catch up to them.
2. G2 Esports
G2 Esports is a highly experienced team from Germany that has been dominating CS:GO tournaments since 2015! The German squad had a bit of an up-and-down 2022 CS:GO season. They started strong with a 2nd place finish at the Intel Extreme Masters XVI – Katowice for $180,000. But then struggled to record any significant results.
However, right at the end of the year, they turned their season around with a fantastic performance at the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 in Abu Dhabi, where they took home the trophy and $500,000.
During the BLAST Premier: World Final 2022, G2 Esports put the CS:GO world on notice as they defeated a number of world-class squads, including Outsiders and FaZe Clan. We expect to see many more battles between FaZe Clan and G2 Esports in 2023.

3. Natus Vincere
Natus Vincere is a Ukrainian CS:GO team that has been around forever. For years they have been one of the best squads in the world and have almost $10 million in lifetime tournament winnings. The Ukrainian team had a great 2022 season despite losing in the finals multiple times to FaZe Clan. Their biggest win in 2022 was at the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 for $200,000. If Natus Vincere can solve the FaZe Clan puzzle, then win numerous tournaments in 2023.
4. Outsiders
Outsiders may sound like a new team, but they were formerly known as Virtus.pro, which has been around since 2003. Despite a poor start to the 2022 CS:GO season, Outsiders found their form and ended up winning the Intel Extreme Masters Rio Major 2022 for $500,000, where they beat Heroic in the final.
If Outsiders can play as they did at the Rio Major in the 2023 season, then the Russian squad will make numerous deep playoff runs. We can’t wait to see them battle against FaZe Clan and Natus Vincere.
5. Heroic
Heroic is a Danish CS:GO team, and despite being smaller than some of the other major esports organizations out there, have assembled a world-class squad. The Danish team had a very respectable 2022 CS:GO season which included a win at the BLAST Premier: Fall Finals 2022 for $200,000, where they defeated FaZe Clan in the final. They also won the Pinnacle Cup Championship for $150,000 and took 2nd at the Rio Major for $170,000.
Heroic looks like they get better and better every time they play together. We would not be surprised to see them winning Majors in 2023!
Wrapping Up
Currently, the best CS:GO team in the world is FaZe Clan, thanks to their dominant performance at numerous Majors and S-tier events in 2022. However, they are beatable, as G2 Esports has shown!
