Cases have become a huge part of the CS:GO experience. With help from the game’s community, Valve has created some of the most striking designs for their weapons in the FPS world. With some of these skins becoming worth more than the gaming setups players play on, knowing which cases are worth opening is a big question plenty of these would-be traders jostle with.
What Are The Best CS:GO Cases?
Here at Gamelevate, we’ve assembled a quick list of the best CS:GO cases to open. Each one of them was rated by the following criteria:
- The prices of the items put inside;
- The quality of visual aspects of items;
- The rarity of the case itself.
But be aware that opening cases through the game is not the only way to do that. Check out this CS:GO case website, which gives you a case-opening option but sprinkles it with plenty of bonuses and free stuff.
Operation Riptide Case
On September 22, 2021, Valve added Operation Riptide and its signature cases. Operation Riptide Case is known for its 17 different community-created skins that can become an amazing addition to players’ collections.
The AK-47 Leet Museo is one of the most interesting and expensive skins on the list. It features a design inspired by Picasso’s works consisting of many bright colors. This skin costs around $50 and can be found as a StatTrak alternative. The second most expensive skin on the case is Desert Eagle Ocean Drive, a combination of crazy bright colors resembling a retro way theme.

Recoil Case
The recently added Recoil case ($1.20) has become one of the most attractive boxes to open in CS:GO due to the visually amazing skins and a chance to get the gloves. There are 17 different skins in the case, while the most expensive gun skin is a USP-S Printstream. It is a minimalistic pistol item featuring black and white colors with a couple of inscriptions and icons printed on the gun’s body. If you get this skin out of Recoil Case, you can sell it for $100-$400, depending on the wear state of the skin.
There is also an iconic Chromatic Aberration skin for the AWP, with a vivid purple design. This AWP can be sold for $60-$170 and has a much more expensive StatTrek alternative.
Glove Case
Added on November 28, 2016 Glove Case is the first in-game item to offer a chance to get the glove item. But besides gloves, there are 17 skins created by the community with an iconic M4A1 Buzz Kill skin. The case can be obtained by trading, dropping from in-game, or purchasing from the trade market.
The most expensive non-glove skin in the case is the SSG Dragonfire. Its visuals feature an epic dragon picture that breathes fire toward the gun’s barrel. You can sell this item for up to $70 if you are lucky to get a StatTrak version.
But if you are fishing for greater prizes, you should consider gloves. There are several types of them presented in this case:
- Sport Gloves;
- Specialist Gloves;
- Moto Gloves;
- Hand Wraps;
- Driver Gloves;
- Bloodhound Gloves.
Glove Cases can be obtained by classic methods mentioned previously, and their price on the market is around $3.5.
Winter Offensive Weapon Case
The Winter Offensive Weapon Case was added to the game all the way back in 2013 and features just 12 skins. This case has a price of around $5 and rarely drops after the release of Operation Vanguard.
The M4A4 Asiimov is the most expensive and rare gun skin in the case. It can be sold for up to $130 as a normal version and $390 as a StatTrak.
Besides an Asiimov gun, there is also a relatively expensive Sawed Off Kraken skin. This item features a cartoonish picture of Kraken, whose tentacles spread through the entire shotgun’s body. The normal gun’s version can be sold for up to $9, while the StatTrak price is up to $40.
As an extra rare reward, you have a chance to get a couple of knives:
- M9 Bayonet;
- Karambit;
- Gut Knife;
- Flip Knife;
- Bayonet.
All of them are priced extremely high. But some rare designs and patterns can even reach a price of $1000+.
