Thankfully, EA have chucked in their first Icon Player Pick SBC to Fifa 23 Ultimate Team, giving players a chance to bag a legend in their starting lineup. The Most Exciting SBC Of The Year?
During its opening months on the shelves, Fifa 23 had been pretty quiet when it came to its squad building challenges.
Winter Wildcards gave the game its first big SBC promo and, with the release of the Base Icon Player Pick, it looks as though the game is finally beginning to pick up some momentum.
To help give you a better idea of whether the rewards on offer with the promo are worth it, here are the top ten most valuable icons in Fifa 23. As a reminder, there are over 100 icons in Fifa this year, so pulling any of these is still a decent ask:

Is The Icon Player Pick Worth It?Requiring twenty-two players split across two squads, this is not the cheapest SBC we’ve ever seen. In all, the Base Icon Player Pick is likely to set you back anywhere between 155k-160k. Given how many dud icons there are in the game this year, this makes netting a serious profit next to impossible. However, the thrill of the gamble on picking up the likes of R9, Eusebio or Cruyff is always going to be enough to coax some players in. The fact that it’s a player pick does give players a bit more weight, but we think there might be better promos on the horizon for Ultimate Team.
