Last year’s champion team, Atlanta FaZe, went undefeated in the CDL 2022 Major 1 Qualifiers to secure a big advantage in the championship stage.
Atlanta FaZe won last year’s trophy with dominance starting from the very start until the very end of the season. This year, most of the power standings changed with many different aspects, including huge roster moves and of course the game change. However, it looks like Atlanta FaZe remains dominant despite all these changes.
Atlanta FaZe Roster
- Tyler “aBeZy” Pharris
- McArthur “Cellium” Jovel
- Chris “Simp” Lehr
- Alec “Arcitys” Sanderson
- Preston “Prestinni” Sanderson (Sub)
- James “Crowder” Replays (Head Coach)
After seeing their Call of Duty League 2022 – Kickoff Classic performance, most of the fans didn’t expect the same performance as last year from the roster but they managed to surprise everyone once again. Atlanta FaZe‘s first win was against Paris Legion, the only team without a single win so far. Secondly, FaZe pulled out a 3-1 win over Los Angeles Thieves to secure their second win of the season.
They only had one game on week two, which was against CDL’s newest member, Boston Breach. Just like the opening games for them, ATL defeated BOS without any troubles, with a score of 3-1.
Last week, they started their journey with a clean sweep over Minnesota ROKKR. Interestingly, FaZe only has one sweep this season even though they are at five wins and zero losses right now. Lastly, their latest victim as this year’s biggest upset, New York Subliners. NYSL managed to win a round but Atlanta FaZe closed out the series in four games, 3-1.
The Major 1 Championship will start soon and FaZe will compete against Boston Breach. We have seen these two teams battle before but things may change since it is not regular season anymore.
