ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) recently announced a partnership with the University of California, Berkeley to provide funding, equipment, and programming support for the Cal Esports program and the grand reopening of the Cal Esports Community Center.
The University of California, Berkeley is one of the world’s premier public universities dedicated to excellence in teaching, research, and public service.
The University of California was chartered in 1868 and its flagship campus in Berkeley, on San Francisco Bay, now has more than 1,500 full-time and 500 part-time faculty members dispersed among more than 130 academic departments and more than 80 interdisciplinary research units.

Cal Esports includes more than 120 collegiate student-athletes on 20 competitive teams, who represent UC Berkeley at national and international competitions. In 2018, they opened the Cal Esports Community Center.
The center is home to a wide variety of active clubs and student groups on campus, from casual play to game design, that engages the gaming community.

Through this exclusive partnership, ASUS will provide the Cal Esports Community Center with the latest Republic of Gamers (ROG) and TUF Gaming desktops, monitors powered by NVIDIA G-SYNC, and GeForce RTX 30 series graphics cards to provide the ultimate experience.
Each Cal Esports station will be equipped with top-notch ASUS ROG and TUF Gaming components and desktops: including the TUF Gaming VG258QM, a 24.5-inch G-SYNC compatible display, and the ROG Strix GA15DK-DH776 gaming desktops powered by the GeForce RTX 3070.

In addition to the technology partnership, ASUS will be aligning with UC Berkeley’s career development, research, and wellness initiatives by collaborating on Game Fit, a customized wellness and fitness program designed for the Cal Esports community.
ASUS will also actively co-sponsor collegiate esports competitions held on the UC Berkeley campus; host Game Talks, a series of career development and internship workshops with Cal Esports student-athletes; and support the Marginalized Genders in Gaming initiative.
