With the recent trailer drop, fans want to know what all Tekken 8 characters will be available at launch.
However, a leak from way back may give us a hint of what’s to come.
Here is the leak and what it could mean for the upcoming roster…
All Tekken 8 characters from the leak
During the beta test of Tekken 8, an image emerged online claiming to be a full roster list.
According to the image posted on Reddit 16 days ago, we still have more fighters to arrive on the roster.
The un-announced characters so far are:
- Devil Jin
But the likelihood of all eight characters appearing on the roster does vary. However, given that Steve, Shaheen, Raven, and Leo were just announced, some fans believe this leaked image may in fact be true.
Story-wise, the inclusion of Devil Jin has huge implications for how the blood feud will play out. But it was always safe to say Devil Jin would be included in some way or another given his popularity.
Also, Feng is such a guarantee. Harada san will always make sure of that!
And we cannot have a Tekken game with Lee or Panda. Since the announcement of Kuma Panda was imminent, fans were expecting a hidden costume swap akin to Tekken 4.
New Characters from the Leak
Interestingly, the leak displays two new unique characters to the roster being Victor and Rina.
Although nothing concrete has emerged about the two fans, they have speculated a lot about Rina. Some believe that she is the unknown daughter of Heihachi and is, in fact, a possible stand-in for his playstyle. It would be fascinating to see a younger woman pull off Hehachi’s iconic moveset.
While on the other hand, Victor is rumoured to be involved with the CIA. His moveset will consist of military-style CQC combat. This could mean seeing some Metal Gear esc moves pulled off in the iron fist ring.
Whether this is true or not we are still looking forward to see exactly what role they will both play out in the larger story.
With the emergence of these leaks pertaining to Tekken 8, the roster of playable characters within the game has now expanded to 32 fighters.
Do you share in our enthusiasm for the impending launch? Anticipation surrounds the upcoming release of the newest installment in the Tekken series, anticipated to debut by 2024. Nonetheless, the precise launch date remains unverified by Bandai Namco. But certain leaks suggest a release on January 2024.
Tekken 8 is set to grace the PlayStation 5, PC, as well as the Xbox Series X|S platforms.
