The 2XKO Launch Roster will feature 10 champions from the 170 LOL lineup.
Riot Games let everyone know just how many fighters to expect come its release.
But some fans are a little disappointed given the already known lineup and 2v2 setup.
2XKO Launch Roster
2XKO is having an alpha lab test from April 18th to the 20th. But before we got the drop, we got an announcement from the developers themselves regarding the full launch.
The 2XKO Launch Roster will only feature 10 playable characters. That being Jinx, Braum, Darius, Illaoi, Yasuo, Ahri, and Ekko. However, that only makes up 70% of the 2XKO Launch Roster. As for the last remaining three, we will have to wait for further announcements.

Although if I had to guess, I would say Sett, Garren, and Caitlynn. Cait is an obvious pick for a range cable fighter, fitting easily into a simple playstyle. Also, she is predominant in the League of Legends Arcane show. And Sett and Garen are just always top picks in the games that would bring in eyes.
But some fans are a little disappointed with the lineup. Not just from the simple my main is not there kind of issue but simply the type of game it is. 2XKO is a 2V2-focused game, and you have 10 players to choose from.

Meaning you are going to see a lot of repeating characters very quickly. Because in another fighter like Street Fighter, a 17-character roster is considered small. But it is not as jarring as the game is 1V1, leading to lots of variety each match. But the 2XKO Launch Roster does sound a little disappointing to start off with.
However, it is the starting roster that will expand over time, much like the main LOL game. This is heavily reliant on the game doing well and Riot Games releasing fighters on time, which might be an issue.
6 Years for 10 Characters
Of course players would not be complaining about the 2XKO Launch Roster if it was announced yesterday. Or if the guys behind it were not 3.52 billion dollars estimated worth Riot Games. However, that is not the case, and it has been in development for years by one of the most successful companies on the planet.

Dragon Ball Fighter Z had 24 characters while MVC3 had 36, yet Riot can only pull off 10? Now I’m not saying they need the full 170 at launch, but come on, base SFV had 16 fighters, and that was a solo fighter! The 2XKO Launch Roster is abysmal for a solo fighter, let alone a tag fighting game!
Also, given their track record of releases for this game, do you trust Riot Games to drop fighters in a timely manner? Maybe they have some champs on the bench as we speak, sure, but why even do that and sully the name at launch?
But even considering the fighters we know of, they have gone for some real odd choices. Illaoi and Brawun are just not that popular. Illaoi is ranked 80th with a 0.9% pick rate, with Braum further down at 85th with a 0.7% pick rate.
Meanwhile, Ezreal and Kai’Sa are at the top spots. But sure, Riot Games, go for one of the most hated top laners in the game for your 2XKO Launch Roster.
I will retract my statement if they drop Teemo, though, just for the bit if needed.
