Stop! You have violated the law by not reading my 2XKO Caitlyn Guide!
Riot Games’ tag fighter has a new fighter boosting the roster to an underwhelming 12!
But how does this British copper play, and what is zoning really about?
2XKO Caitlyn Guide
Firstly, it’s just dawned on me making this 2XKO Caitlyn Guide that something is up. She is an out-and-out British copper that uses a gun as her main weapon. Funny joke, Riot. I finally got it after 15 years.
But enough of missing the point. Are enforcement officers here? This is a long-range zoner character. Meaning that the character focuses on dividing the map or creating her own zone through projectiles.

Think of Guile in Street Fighter, as his playstyle is around keeping you at a distance and making changes depending on how close you are to him. But with that in mind, know that her goal is to harass at both range and close up.

From her main S1 we can fire the big British gun and quickly after double tap. Although if we hold it, we can charge for more damage and useful timing. Also keep in mind that a lot of her combos using the charge shot only used the partial charge. This is where you let go just as she glows red, making the attack faster.

But we can also tap into a charge shot and charge a tap shot. However, during charge, we can even aim the gun up and down, making it an anti-air. Double tapping up or down during this will quickly bring the gun upwards for faster enemies.

What this 2XKO Caitlyn Guide is saying is to vary up your gunshots and keep your opponent on their toes. If you keep spamming the shots or using the same patterns, you will be read and punished.
And use this mid-air to catch enemies running under you, and you have zoned them everywhere!
Aim For The Head
But any 2XKO Caitlyn guide is going to mention her S2 special Bola is kind of busted. Firstly, this is just Ekko’s time-winder. Secondly, this thing has so much hit stun you can do full-screen cross-ups with it!
Also at the start of the round, her side S1 away from the enemy is a good strat. An evasive move that makes enemies pushing buttons at the start miss everything. During the roll we can press to shoot, punishing anyone that dares press on go.

But her most scummy plays come from her down S2 trap and S1. Lay a trap and wait for the enemy to try and disable it. 9 times out of 10 they are going to set the thing off. Also, they will just open themselves up, hitting the thing, so just shoot them!
Meanwhile, her S1 super shield is best used at neutral, giving you cover and an offensive push opportunity. Although the combos can be really dirty, I found their utility more useful, giving me some space.

Also, her S2 super sniper shot can be aimed and actually does more damage if you hit the target’s head. But keep in mind the super only freezes time for a second, and the bullet needs to travel in real time after. So say if an enemy is spinning or knocked back, try to aim to where their head will be rather than where it is on the freeze frame.

But the super does the most damage when shot through the shield of the second super. During this it auto headshots, so you do not have to worry about aiming. However, enjoy setting this one up naturally!
