The North American representatives, 100 Thieves, are the third team to qualify for the Valorant Masters Berlin qualifiers.
Acend and 100 Thieves competed against each other to reach the Valorant Masters Berlin semifinals. Both teams showed incredible performances in three maps. In the end, 100 Thieves won the series with a score of 2-1 and proceeded to the semifinals of Valorant Masters Berlin.
Ascent
Acend made a great map play and got into the B bomb site. Patryk “starxo” Kopczynski won the clutch against Joshua “steel” Nissan to start the map in style. However, 100 Thieves won two rounds in a row to even the map. Both teams showed great performances and the game was so close until the very end. Mehmet “cNed” İpek played his heart out and carried his team on his shoulders. As a result, Acend closed out the first map and got ahead in the series.
Haven
100 Thieves looked like a different team in the first rounds of the second map. Whatever they discussed during the break, was useful. Peter “Asuna” Mazuryk’s Jett was unstoppable. Steel joined his teammate to force a third map to keep their hopes alive. Even though Acend started the second half with a pistol-round win, 100 Thieves made up for it by winning their eco-round. After that point, the European representatives could not stop Asuna’s Jett and 100 Thieves forced another map in the series.
Breeze
Even though Acend made a strong start, 100 Thieves caught their opponent in the fourth round. However, cNed showed what he is capable of with Jett in his hands. Acend owned the first half and executed every strategy successfully. cNed’s initiations were on point, and 100 Thieves failed to answer his plays. However, 100 Thieves came out much stronger in the second half. The North American team got closer to their opponents. Acend reached the 12-round point first but 100 Thieves were right behind them and the game went to overtime. The North American team played well during the two overtime rounds and closed out the game in 26 rounds.
100 Thieves will face the winner of the Team Envy-Sentinels matchup. On the other hand, Acend are out of the tournament.
